The adventure began in 1993, with owners Jim & Amanda opening an upholstery business. In 1994, Jim was asked by a friend to build a lightweight snowmobile seat. Sparked by an industry need, and fueled by his love of snowmobilling, Jim soon developed an aftermarket snowmobile seat, and the business converted to a seat manufacturing company. In 1998, the business name became "BOSS Seats", and in 2002 the business incorporated as Boss Racing Technologies, LLC. Throughout these years, Jim perfected and patented his seat designs, becoming known throughout the industry as the leader in seating technology. BOSS first ventured into the horsepower realm in 2004, with the introduction of the first BOSS NOSS nitrous oxide system to the snowmobile market. The unique, patented technology of BOSS NOSS has led the company to growth in the entire powersports industry. Jim has continued to perfect the BOSS products, with an inner drive to be second to none.
